Rivers state on Saturday celebrated its golden jubilee anniversary to mark 50 years of the state’s creation.
Nyesom Wike, the state governor, presented the grand service star award to several eminent sons and daughters of Rivers.
Some of the honourees include ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, retired footballer Joseph Yobo, a former most beautiful girl in Nigeria Agbani Darego, Abiye Sekibo, a former transport minister, Herbert Wigwe, MD Access Bank, among others.
